Meritorious Official Honoree Mike Allen Passes Away
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame was saddened to learn that Mike Allen, who was honored as Meritorious Official by the Hall of Fame and inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum’s Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa, passed away on Friday, at the age of 74.

Final X, Beat the Streets’ 2025 Annual Benefit Announced
USA Wrestling and Beat the Streets Wrestling (New York) will present Final X on Saturday, June 14 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Final X will determine the 2025 U.S. Senior World Championships Teams in two Olympic disciplines: men’s and women’s freestyle. There will be 20 weight classes contested, 10 in each men’s and women’s freestyle.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have published the latest National Girls High School Rankings.

"Wrestling Town USA" Will Host NCWWC March 7-8
Featuring 320 female wrestlers from all three NCAA Divisions, the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships will be held at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa—warmly known as Wrestling Town USA—on March 7–8.

John Smith Inspires Iron Monk Brewery to Create The Low Single Leg Light Lager
The official launch of The Low Single Leg will take place on Saturday, February 22, as part of Iron Monk Brewery’s 10-Year Anniversary Celebration. Fans and beer lovers alike will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet John Smith in person from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the brewery in downtown Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa Class of 2025 Announced
The Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa’s Class of 2025 features 11 individual state championships, 42 NCAA All-Americans, 12 NCAA champions, an NCAA championship team, and one of the state of Iowa’s top wrestling contributors.
Kevin Darkus, Daniel Dennis, Felicity Taylor, Joe Zuspann and the 1985-86 University of Iowa wrestling team will be inducted into the GBHOF while the Ballweg Family will be recognized with the Bowlsby Family Legacy Award, Michael Doyle will receive the Bob Siddens High School Coaching Excellence Award and Johnnie Johsnon will be presented with the Russ Smith Community Impact Award.

February National Girls High School Team Rankings Released
Wyoming Seminary (Pennsylvania) remains No. 1 while Broken Arrow High School (Oklahoma) moves up to No. 2 and Cleveland High School (Tennessee) climbs to No. 3 in the latest National Girls High School Team Rankings by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling. The top five teams in the February rankings are the same as January, but in a slightly different order.
