Iowa Leads DI Men's Attendance for 18th Straight Season

The University of Iowa once again led the nation in NCAA Division I men’s wrestling attendance, averaging 13,640 fans per dual across seven home meets, as reported by the National Wrestling Media Association.

Hall of Fame Will Broadcast Honors Weekend Events

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame will broadcast its Honors Weekend events for the Class of 2025 LIVE on the Hall of Fame’s Rokfin channel.

Since retiring from Oklahoma State University in 2024, John Smith, a Distinguished Member inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1997, has spent more time on his ranch and pursuing other pastimes.

He also lent his name and likeness to “The Low Single Leg,” an American light lager produced by Iron Monk Brewing Company in Stillwater that benefits the Hall of Fame.

Meritorious Official Honoree Jerry Kuntz Passes Away

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame was saddened to learn that Jerry Kuntz, who was honored as Meritorious Official by the Hall of Fame in 2014 and who received the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award from the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2008, passed away on Monday, at the age of 69.

Norm Latona, the father of two-time Virginia Tech All-American Sam Latona, received a kidney from Hokies head wrestling coach Tony Robie.

Olympic medalists Elor, Dake Among 16 World Team Trials Champions Qualified For Final X

Sixteen World Team Trials Challenge Tournament champions have been added to the 2025 Final X card, including 2024 Olympic champion Amit Elor and two-time Olympic bronze medalist Kyle Dake, and will compete for coveted spots on Team USA.
