Dan Gable Museum Works to Honor Legendary West Waterloo Coach Bob Siddens

In an effort to honor Robert S. Siddens, a man who helped grow wrestling in Waterloo and the state of Iowa, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum has launched an initiative to raise $500,000 for the Bob Siddens and Dan Gable Learning Center.

Siddens, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday in 2025, led West Waterloo High School to prominence in wrestling while positively impacting countless lives during his career as a guidance counselor and coach.

College Sports Communicators Announce 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's & Women's At-Large Teams

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.

Hall of Fame Calls for Class of 2026 Nominations

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the Class of 2026, which will be inducted during the annual Honors Weekend on June 5 and June 6, 2026 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Moving Ceremony Honors National Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2025

On June 7, 2025, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame inducted Distinguished Members Darryl Burley, Matt Lindland, Terry Steiner and Greg Wojciechowski. Joining them as honorees are the Medal of Courage recipient Mark Coleman, Order of Merit recipient Van Stokes, Meritorious Official Ken Mara, Outstanding American Terry Davis, plus the two high school honorees, Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award winner Marcus Blaze and Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award winner Piper Fowler.

Hendrickson Becomes First Three-Time Schalles Award Recipient

Wyatt Hendrickson, who was the Kansas winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2019, becomes the first three-time recipient of the prestigious Schalles Award, awarded annually to the nation's top pinner.

The University of Iowa once again led the nation in NCAA Division I men’s wrestling attendance, averaging 13,640 fans per dual across seven home meets, as reported by the National Wrestling Media Association.
