Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Norman Borlaug wrestled for Cresco High School in Iowa and for the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Borlaug was honored as an Outstanding American by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1992.

Penn State Wins 2024 NCAA DI Championship
Penn State University won its third-straight NCAA team title and the 11th title in the last 13 years. The Nittany Lions put a team-record six athletes into the finals and finished the night with four champions.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum announced that Kane Naaktgeboren of Linn-Marr High School in Marion, Iowa has been chosen as the 2024 recipient of the Bob Steenlage Iowa High School Wrestler of the Year award.
