Wyoming Seminary Wins 2023 Dual Classic

STILLWATER, Okla. – Top-ranked Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, Pennsylvania) defeated defending Dual Classic champion Edmond North High School (Edmond, Oklahoma), 32-31, in the finals to win the 2023 National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic title on Friday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The dual was tied at 31 at the end of regulation and Wyoming Seminary won on criteria for most matches won, eight to six. 

Edmond North advanced to the championship finals after Oscar Williams registered a fall to tie the dual, and the Huskies won on criteria for most first scores, nine to five, to beat Poway High School (Poway, California), 25-24. 

Featuring 16 of the top high school teams in the nation, the Dual Classic was presented by Cliff Keen Wrestling and Territory Resources, in association with the U.S. Army and Visit Stillwater. 

Poway defeated Delbarton School (Morristown, New Jersey) for third place while Buchanan High School (Clovis, California) finished fifth and Massillon Perry High School (Massillon, Ohio) was sixth. Rounding out the Top 10 were Lake Highland Preparatory School (Orlando, Florida), Clovis High School (Clovis, California), Bixby High School (Bixby, Oklahoma) and Joliet Catholic High School (Joliet, Illinois). 

Stillwater High School (Stillwater, Oklahoma) finished 12th followed by Pomona High School (Arvada, Colorado), Tuttle High School (Tuttle, Oklahoma), James Martin High School (Arlington, Texas) and Blackwell High School (Blackwell, Oklahoma).
