Second 50th Anniversary Coloring Book Released

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame has released the second of five coloring books being created as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The series is being developed by Foundation for Wrestling Art & Innovation (FWAI) founder and former wrestler Ross Bendik, a member of the Hall of Fame’s 50th Anniversary Committee.

The first coloring book featured the years 1976 to 1985, the Hall of Fame’s opening decade. The newest edition highlights 1986 to 1995 and includes Distinguished Members Bruce Baumgartner, Kenny Monday, Tricia Saunders, John Smith and Pat Smith.

Fans of all ages are encouraged to download the coloring books, enjoy the experience, and celebrate wrestling history in a creative way: https://nwhof.org/national-wrestling-hall-of-fame/coloring_books

The Hall of Fame also invites fans to share their completed coloring sheets. Submissions may be selected for display on the Hall of Fame website and inside the museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma: https://nwhof.org/national-wrestling-hall-of-fame/create_coloring_books

Bendik has previously created holiday cards for the Hall of Fame, as well as a goal-setting activity that allowed wrestlers to write down and display their aspirations at the museums in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Waterloo, Iowa.

Through FWAI, Bendik works to promote the culture of amateur wrestling while creating opportunities for athletes on and off the mat. The organization fosters creativity and innovation across the sport by:

  • Creating accessible opportunities for artistic expression within the wrestling community

  • Connecting wrestlers and programs with creatives to help elevate their brands

  • Supporting projects from concept through completion

  • Providing learning opportunities to grow creative skills within the sport

FWAI also presents the Wrestling Aesthetics Awards, recognizing excellence in design and style, and hosts a 10-week virtual Wrestling Art Camp each summer that offers young wrestlers and artists hands-on creative experiences.
