Seven to be Inducted into Oklahoma Chapter of NWHOFM in Oklahoma City

STILLWATER, Okla. – Seven will be honored Sunday, Oct. 11, by the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for their contributions to the sport of wrestling.

Rex Edgar, Butch Jacobsen, Mike Jones, Mark Leen, and Larry Wilkey will be honored with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award, an honor given annually to coaches, officials and contributors who have given a minimum of 20 years of service to the sport of wrestling. Larry Estep will receive the Medal of Courage award, given to an individual who has overcome insurmountable odds whether it be physical or mental, and Kelly Gregg will take home the Outstanding American award, given to an individual who has gone on to succeed in other walks of life but attribute part of their success to what they learned in wrestling. The banquet and induction ceremony will be at the Jim Thorpe Museum in Oklahoma City with the reception beginning at 3 p.m., dinner at 4 p.m., and the ceremony to begin at 5 p.m.
