On July 17, 2023, over 35 wrestling people gathered at the Millstone Golf course in Elbridge to discuss wrestling old and new. The Upstate New York Chapter arranged a golf outing for those wrestling people who were interested early Monday morning and then other Hall of Famers and wrestling people attended a lunch at the O’Hara restaurant at the course at 1 pm. The gathering had wrestling people from Section II, Section III, Section IV, Section V and Section VI and Section IX.

Larry Rector, who is 100 years old was planning to attend the event, but was not able to attend. He was recovering from a cold and was disappointed not to be able to attend. Glad to report that he is fine and might be able to attend the September 24th Hall of Fame ceremony in Syracuse this year. The gathering was so successful that the Chapter will attempt to duplicate it next year.
