13th Annual Induction Ceremony Installs Six New Members
The New Jersey Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame honored six individuals with induction into its prestigious hall on Sunday, August 4th, 2013.
Over 350 people were in attendance at a banquet and ceremony on the campus of Rider University to celebrate the induction of the following recipients" "Outstanding American" posthumously presented to Harold Dow, "Courage Award" presented to Gerry Nisivoccia, and "Lifetime Service Award" presented to Gary Papa, Bernie Reider, Dave Kinney, and Ken Bernabe.
This years inductees shared a variety of skills that included accomplishments garnered as coaches, wrestlers, officials, administrators, and achievements "beyond" the ordinary which identified each as individuals truly deserving of the highest honor one can achieve and receive in the sport of wrestling.
The day of festivities began with a reception for family, friends, and guests, attendance of previous inductees into the New Jersey Hall of Fame, a seated dinner, a variety of speeches by each inductee with a supporting video of accomplishments, as well as an opportunity for wholesome conversation about wrestling during the afternoon.
We want to take this opportunity to once again congratulate the Harold Dow Family, inductees Gerry, Gary, Dave, Bernie, and Ken for their many accomplishments and contributions to the sport of amateur wrestling. Gentlemen, you are truly worthy of this most highest honor.
