Illinois Chapter Has Its 2025 Honors Banquet

More than 230 family, friends and honored guests celebrated the Illinois Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Class of 2025 on October 19. It is the 23rd year for the event.

Medal of Courage recipient Antonia Phillips, who is currently wrestling for Aurora University, is not pictured.

Harlee Hiller, who is the Illinois winner of the Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award for 2025, and Seth Mendoza, who is the Illinois winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award for 2025, were also celebrated. Hiller is wrestling at the University of Iowa and Mendoza is wrestling at the University of Missouri.

Heartfelt acceptance speeches, a great meal, and lots of wrestling fellowship and camaraderie made for a truly memorable evening. The program began with the grand introduction of 34 former Illinois Chapter honorees who attended the banquet to give their personal congratulations to the new class.
