As a wrestler, Roger Frizzell was a four-time All-American for the University of Oklahoma, placing fourth at the NCAA tournament as a freshman and third each of his last three seasons. Upon graduation, Frizzell set the school record for most career wins and is still in the Top 10 for most pins. He was a silver and bronze medalist at the U.S. Senior Freestyle Championships, a bronze medalist at the Junior World Freestyle Championships, a silver medalist at the U.S. World University Championships, and was a three-time Oklahoma state champion.

But Frizzell's greatest achievements came after his competitive wrestling career. Frizzell served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Communications Officer at Carnival Corporation and as the Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Corporate Communications for American Airlines. He has also worked in executive positions for AT&T, Hewlett Packard, and Compaq. Frizzell has been awarded more than 200 industry awards for excellence during his career.

For his achievements on and off the mat, the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame honored Frizzell with its Outstanding American award in 2010.
