National Wrestling Hall of Fame Board of Governors

Daniel Hyman joined the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Board of Governors in 2018.

Hyman was an Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association champion as a senior at Lehigh University after transferring from Arizona State University. He earned second-team All-Pac-10 academic honors with a 3.11 GPA and was also selected to represent ASU in the fourth annual NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference.

He also wrestled four years for North Gate High School in Walnut Creek, California. Team captain for two years, Hyman was a two-time league champion who placed fourth in sections as a senior after placing sixth as a junior.

Hyman is a managing director and leads the agency mortgage portfolio management team in the Newport Beach office of Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO). He is the lead portfolio manager on PIMCO's Ginnie Mae and Mortgage Opportunities strategies. Mr. Hyman and team have been recognized by Lipper for their long-term performance on both of these flagship mortgage strategies. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2008, Mr. Hyman was a vice president at Credit Suisse, where he traded agency pass-throughs. He has 22 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.

He studied Jiu Jitsu in high school with Ceasar Gracie and went to Brazil in 2002 to live and train with Rolles Gracie.

He is also a member of the board of Beat the Streets Los Angeles and a proud supporter of Wrestle Like A Girl.
