Upstate New York Chapter Stanbro Media and Volunteer Awards Announced

Upstate New York Chapter announces Matt O'Rourke for the Stanbro Media Award and Dick Ballard for the Volunteer Award. This year’s ceremony will be held on September 25, 2022 at the Double Tree Hotel in East Syracuse.

Girls Wrestling Exhibit at NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championships

This year the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame presented at their exhibit tables at the Boys NYSPHSAA Championships an exhibition advocating for girls wrestling and the sanctioning of girls wrestling by the NYSPHSAA.

At the time of his induction, Reese’s 42 years at the helm of the Wilkes wresting program was the longest tenure of any wrestling coach at any one institution. He also served 34 years as Wilkes athletic director.
