Hall of Fame Announces Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award State Winners
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Thursday announced the state winners of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award (DSHSEA).
The Hall of Fame’s High School Excellence Awards are proudly sponsored by the Hyman Family, whose generous support and passion for the sport help ensure the continued recognition and development of wrestling’s next generation.

Final National Girls High School Team Rankings Released
The committee which selects the National Girls High School Rankings for individual athletes, which includes representation from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling, has released its final national high school team ranking for the 2024-25 season.
This ranking includes public and private schools at the high school level from all states, including states with official girls state championship events as well as those with unofficial girls state championships. All of the state high school championships for girls have been completed for the season.
The top two teams have remained the same since the February ranking with No. 1 Wyoming Seminary (Pa.) and No. 2 Broken Arrow High School (Okla.).

Nanea Estrella Named Inaugural Female Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award Winner
Nanea Estrella, who was the Hawaii and National winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award in 2020, is the inaugural female winner of the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award.
The award recognizes student-athletes whose significant community service contributions align with Jackie Robinson's legacy of courage, determination, teamwork, persistence, integrity, citizenship, justice, commitment, and excellence.

2025 Florida Chapter Honors Weekend Reservations
The Florida Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame will celebrate its 26th Anniversary and its 158 alumni during its Honors Weekend on August 22-23.

Blades Named USA Wrestling Women’s College Wrestler of the Year
Kennedy Blades, a junior at the University of Iowa, was voted the 2025 winner of the USA Wrestling Women’s College Wrestler of the Year Award, which goes to the nation’s best college wrestler annually.
In her first collegiate season with the Hawkeyes, Blades recorded a 25-0 record, which included a 100% bonus rate, 23 technical falls and two pins. She earned the 160-pound title at the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships and was named Outstanding Wrestler of the event. Her efforts also helped Iowa claim it’s second-straight national team title.

USA Wrestling Surpasses 345,000 Members, Breaks Membership Record
USA Wrestling surpassed 345,000 members for the first time in its 57-year history, with nearly five months remaining in the 2024-25 membership year.
