LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Reigning World Team Trials champions Felicity Taylor and Amit Elor both return to the finals at the 2026 Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament after bonus victories in the semifinals at Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

Olympic champion Elor was one of four wrestlers to win their semifinal bouts via pin. In her first tournament since last year’s World Team Trials, Elor finished the day 2-0 with a tech fall and pin. Elor will square off against U.S. Open runner-up Precious Wieser in the finals at 72 kg. Wieser notched a 14-2 tech fall in the semifinals after a 27-second pin earlier in the day.

2025 World Team member Taylor moved down to the 50 kg weight class and scored a 10-0 technical fall in her lone match of the day. Taylor’s championship foe is two-time U17 World champion Morgan Turner, who upset top-seeded Erin Golston, 5-0, in the semifinals.

Teammates on the 2023 World Team, Emma Bruntil and Jennifer Page, are set to meet in the finals at 65 kg. The pair notched pins in the semifinals to earn their championship spots.

The final wrestler to pin their way into the championship round was Elena Ivaldi at 53 kg. Her victory moved her into the finals against Sydney Petzinger, who won 6-4 in the semifinals.

Two-time World medalist Macey Kilty secured a 13-0 win in the semifinals, setting up a finals match against Claire DiCugno.

At 59 kg, 2025 World Team Trials finalist Alexis Janiak is back in the championship round following a 3-1 victory over Alexandra Szkotnicki. The championship match in the weight class features Janiak taking on Amani Jones, who upset top-seeded Michaela Beck, 12-2, in the other semifinal.

In the 55 kg semifinals, 2024 World Team member Areana Villaescusa grabbed a 12-6 decision against Sara Sterner. Alexandra Hedrick won the second semifinal 14-4 over Marissa Gallegos.

The championship bouts in the women’s freestyle division at the Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament begins at noon ET on Friday afternoon.
