The U.S. will send a full roster of 34 wrestlers to the U20 Pan American Championships, which will be held July 9-12 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Physical Education Center Admiral Adalberto Nunes.

Bo Bassett headlines the men’s freestyle team at 65 kg as a two-time age-group World medalist after winning a bronze at the 2024 U20 World Championships and gold at the 2021 Cadet World Championships. Grey Burnett (57 kg) and Brock Mantanona (86 kg) will compete after winning bronze medals at the U17 level—Burnett in 2025 and Mantanona in 2023. Coby Merrill will be in action at 125 kg after a strong showing at the U.S. Open in April, where he earned an 8-6 victory over Dreshaun Ross for the U20 title, and made a deep run through the Senior 125 kg bracket with wins over Connor Mirasola and Mason Parris.

Aubree Gutierrez and Carley Ceshker return to international competition to lead the women’s freestyle roster. Gutierrez earned two technical falls and two pins en route to gold at the U17 Pan American Championships earlier this year. Ceshker, a freshman at the University of Iowa, won gold at the 2023 U17 Pan American Championships.

In Greco-Roman, Caleb Noble (55 kg) and Will Detar (60 kg) bring World Team experience to the roster. Noble returns to the U20 roster after representing the U.S. at the 2025 Pan American Championships and the 2025 World Championships, while Detar was a member of the 2025 U17 World Team.

The competition will conclude with beach wrestling on July 12, where the U.S. will field three men and three women. Evan Kapadia and Kirick Gurkin will compete at 80 kg on the men’s side, while Dominic Porter will wrestle at +90 kg after winning beach wrestling gold at the 2025 U20 Pan American Championships.  Yianna Foufas (50 kg), Aubree Gutierrez (60 kg) and Gretchen Donally (+70 kg) will represent the U.S. women’s beach wrestling team.

The complete U.S. roster for all three Olympic disciplines and beach wrestling, plus the full Team USA delegation list, is available below.

The tournament will be held over four days, with all weights in each Olympic style and beach wrestling contested from start to finish in a single day. Men’s freestyle opens the event on July 9, followed by women’s freestyle on July 10, Greco-Roman on July 11 and beach wrestling on July 12.

Wrestling begins at 10 a.m. local time each day for the Olympic styles and at 1 p.m. for beach competition. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is one hour ahead of U.S. Eastern Time.

A live stream of the U20 Pan American Championships will be available to the U.S. audience through FloWrestling. Brackets and updated results will be hosted on UWW Arena.
