Past Honorees Invited to Join Honors Weekend Celebration

As the National Wrestling Hall of Fame celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2026, the Hall of Fame is extending a special invitation to all past National Honorees to attend Honors Weekend, scheduled for June 5–6, 2026, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

“The National Wrestling Hall of Fame has been fortunate to honor nearly 400 individuals at the national level, including 220 Distinguished Members,” said Lee Roy Smith, Executive Director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. “We are hopeful that many of our past national honorees will be able to attend Honors Weekend and join us in celebrating 50 years of recognizing extraordinary achievement.”

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame invites all past recipients in the following national honors categories to attend:

·       Distinguished Members

·       Medal of Courage

·       Meritorious Officials

·       Order of Merit

·       Outstanding Americans

Honors Weekend 2026 will serve as a historic gathering to recognize five decades of excellence in the sport of wrestling and the individuals whose leadership, character, and achievements have helped shape its legacy. The milestone anniversary will offer honorees from across generations the opportunity to reconnect, reflect, and be recognized as part of a collective legacy dedicated to preserving wrestling history, recognizing excellence, and inspiring greatness.

To help ensure all past national honorees are aware of the invitation, the Hall of Fame also welcomes assistance from individuals who may be in contact with past honorees. Special events, commemorations, and anniversary programming will be incorporated throughout the weekend, celebrating not only the Class of 2026 but also the extraordinary contributions of those previously honored.
