Minnesota Chapter Holds 2020 Banquet with Extra Precautions
The Minnesota Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame held its 18th Annual Honors Banquet on September 13. Attendance was limited because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Class of 2020 includes: Tom Beyer, Mary Davis, Larry Goodnature, Mark Jensen, Don Kuusinen, Bill Schmidt, and Father Otto Weber were presented with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award while Brian Bakke received the Medal of Courage and Bud Heidgerken was honored as an Outstanding American.
Beyer, Davis, Jensen, Kuusinen and Heidgerken attended the ceremony while Bakke was honored at a prior event. Father Weber was honored posthumously while Goodnature and Schmidt have chosen to be officially recognized at the 2021 banquet.
