The 2022 U.S. Senior World Teams were determined at Final X Stillwater on June 3 and Final X New York on June 8.

Well, 96.7% of it was determined. There will be a Special Wrestle-off at 62 kg in women’s freestyle at a date and location to be determined. Under the Team Selection Procedures, 2021 World silver medalist Kayla Miracle requested an extension of the series against World Team Trials Challenge Tournament champion Jennifer Rogers due to injury.

Therefore, we have 29 of the 30 U.S. Senior World Team members established. These athletes will begin a series of training camps and competitions leading up to the 2022 Senior World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, September 10-18.

The U.S. team is talented and experienced. There are five wrestlers who have won an Olympic gold medal and nine wrestlers who have won a total of 11 Olympic medals. There are nine wrestlers who have won 19 World titles. The 12 past Senior World medalists have won an amazing 37 Senior World medals.

USA Wrestling will produce extensive previews of the World Championships leading into Belgrade, but we did want to post our World Team at this date, and some amazing stats on these stars.
