Iowa Holds Firm at No. 1, King Breaks Into Top Five

MANHEIM, Pa. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has released its final rankings of 2025 as the holiday break approaches. Iowa continues to hold steady at No. 1, while King moves up one spot to enter the Top Five in the latest rankings.
The Top Five features No. 1 Iowa (120 points), No. 2 McKendree (112), No. 3 North Central (77), No. 4 Grand Valley State (67), and No. 5 King (47).
Gannon also joins the Top 25 this month, tied for 18th with Frostburg State.
Two new No. 1 wrestlers emerge in this set of rankings, with Valerie Solorio of Iowa taking over the top spot at 103 pounds and Eliana Bommarito of King moving into No. 1 at 207. Iowa and McKendree lead the nation with three top-ranked individuals apiece, while no other program has more than one No. 1 wrestler.
