What is National Wresting Hall of Fame Day of Giving: Help Your Hall?

National Wresting Hall of Fame Day of Giving: Help Your Hall is a special daylong fundraising event taking place on October 28, 2020. For 24 hours, we are asking the wrestling community to come together to help the Hall of Fame.

Why should I participate?

Your support of the Hall of Fame is more important than ever. If you’re in a position to give, your support helps ensure that the Hall of Fame can fulfill its mission to preserve the history of wrestling, recognize excellence, and inspire future generations.

These are challenging times for everyone. Why hold a Day of Giving right now?

We recognize that these are difficult and uncertain times for everyone and that there are many worthy causes to support.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hall of Fame has experienced a $200,000 shortfall in its operating budget after being forced to close its museums in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Waterloo, Iowa, and postpone Honors Weekend, Dan Gable Museum events and 24 State Chapter induction ceremonies.

Despite making significant cuts to its operating budget, the financial predicament remains substantial and the Day of Giving event comes at a critical time.

Is there a minimum gift amount?

There is not a minimum gift and every donation is appreciated.

I can’t make a big gift. Can my support really make a difference?

Yes, your gift really does make a difference. Combining your philanthropy with that of others creates a foundation that will help us offset our budget shortfall.

What else can I do to participate in the Day of Giving: Help Your Hall?

We appreciate your willingness to help. Spreading the word before and during this special fundraising event is a great way to Help Your Hall. Sharing our posts with your social media network(s) and encouraging your friends and family to donate is a great way to help us make a bigger impact.

How do I make my gift?

Between midnight and 11:59 p.m. Central time on October 28, go to bit.ly/NWHOFDayofGiving to make your donation.

Is my Day of Giving gift tax-deductible?

Your gift is tax-deductible and will help support the Hall of Fame and its mission to preserve the history of wrestling, recognize excellence, and inspire future generations.

Do I have to give online?

Giving online allows us to immediately include your donation in our Day of Giving total. We also can accept gifts by telephone from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (405) 377-5243. If you would like to mail your donation, please address your gift to:

Can I make a gift of stock?

Yes. When making a gift of securities to the Hall of Fame, please notify us before you make the transfer, and indicate that it is in support of Day of Giving. This will help us ensure your gift counts toward Day of Giving: Help Your Hall and receives proper credit and acknowledgment. Is my gift secure?

Absolutely. On the Hall of Fame’s Day of Giving, online donations will be made through DonorPerfect, providing a safe and secure transaction.
