Schultz 2019 High School Athlete of the Year

Cohlton Schultz, who was the 2019 national winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award, has been named the 2019 Colorado High School Athlete of the Year among boys. Schultz is joined by girls winner Anna Hall, a track and field athlete from Valor Christian High School.

Schultz is currently a freshman at Arizona State, where he is on redshirt and preparing for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at State College, Pennsylvania in April.
Editor’s Note: Schultz has won three age-group World medals in Greco-Roman, a 2017 Cadet World gold medal, a 2018 Junior World bronze medal and a 2019 Junior World silver medal.
Colorado winners of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award who have won the Colorado High School Athlete of the Year are Tom Clum, Connor Medbery, Tony Mustari and Kyle Sand.
Hall of Fame Distinguished Members Henry Cejudo and Matt Ghaffari received the Colorado Amateur Athlete of the Year award in 2008 and 1996, respectively.

Hall of Fame Distinguished Members John Hancock and Dean Lahr are member of the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Colorado Hall of Fame members Tracy Borah, Hancock, J. Allen Patten and Bob Smith have all received the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award from the Hall of Fame's Colorado Chapter.
