2016 NWHOF-Kansas Inductees Honored
The Annual National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum Kansas chapter induction ceremony was held on APRIL 23. The event was held at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School Wichita. A special feature of the event was on display the only KSHSAA Grand State Championship Trophy’s won in 1976 & 1977. By KMC High School
The Dinner was catered by Aboud’s Catering Topeka and the meal served 230 guest in
Attendance. Chapter President ROBERT M. GONZALES welcomed the guest and Heather Wilson provided the Invocation. The program is a fundraiser for the National Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma. With the new six honorees, the Kansas chapter now has honored 51 men and women in this prestigious Hall of Fame. With over $28,000.00 raised for National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum. The State of Kansas wrestling community has much to be Proud of with our strong work ethic and commitment.
Mr. GONZALES and his committee is working on the next NWHOF & M Induction Ceremony for the spring in 2019. The Legends wrestling Clinic held in November each fall and the USAW Kansas Kids State Championship in March ( program sales) are the two additional sources of revenue for the Kansas chapter. The NWHOF & M. Committee is always seeking contribution to the Kansas chapter.

GONZALES is a High School Educator at Manhattan, KS. He is the head wrestling
Coach. He has been teaching & coaching since August 15, 1977. Mr. GONZALES started the Kansas Chapter in 2001 with the help of legendary wrestling coach Myron Roderick of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
