Pre-seeds for the Senior women’s freestyle division at the 2026 U.S. Open Championships have been finalized ahead of this week’s competition at The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.
Tournament seeding was based on an agreed upon set of seeding criteria that included USA Wrestling PIN ratings, head-to-head results, tournament placements, and common opponents. Pre-seeds were finalized by the U.S. women’s freestyle national team staff.
Seeding is not final until after weigh-ins conclude. Adjustments to the seeding will be made if a wrestler drops out of the field for any reason. In that case, the wrestler in question will be removed from the list and every wrestler underneath will bump up to the next seed.
Wrestlers who received No. 1 seeds include 2024 Olympic champion Sarah Hildebrandt at 53 kg and two-time Olympian Kayla Miracle at 65 kg. Two-time World medalist Macey Kilty earned the top seed at 62 kg and 2025 World Team member Alexandria Glaude received the No. 1 seed at 72 kg. 2022 Senior World Team members Abigail Nette (59 kg) and Dymond Guilford (76 kg) also earned top seeds at the U.S. Open.
Three-time age-group World medalist Erin Golston received the top seed at 50 kg. At 55 kg, the No. 1 seed went to 2025 U20 World champion Everest Leydecker.
Rounding out the No. 1 seeds in the Senior women’s freestyle division are current U.S. Senior National Team members Amanda Martinez (57 kg) and Latifah McBryde (68 kg).
The Senior women’s freestyle tournament runs Thursday and Friday. Day one of competition will feature championship rounds through the semifinals. The medal rounds and championship finals will be held on day two. A detailed schedule of events is available at usawrestlingevents.com.
The U.S. Open Championships will be broadcast live on FloWrestling. Brackets will be available through USA Bracketing.
Pre-seeds for Senior Greco-Roman and Senior men’s freestyle will be released later today.
