Gene Moses Harrison and Cheyenne Mt. High Schools, Adams State College Colorado Springs, Colorado Gene Moses began his wrestling career at West Waterloo High School in Iowa and continued his collegiate career at Adams State College. Moses' entire coaching career has gg taken place in Colorado. In five years at Harrison High School, Moses finished in the top ten at the high school wrestling tournament three times and was the Will Rogers League champion four times. As coach at Adams State College from 1969-1972, his teams produced three individual champions as well as 7 other place winners. In 1972 his Adams State team won the NAIA national championship. Other collegiate tournament individual placers consist of 7 MIWA (Mountain Intercollegiate Wrestling Association) champions and 5 RMAC (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) champions. Moses has coached the following national champions: Harvey Gray, Doug Moses, Chuck Jean, and Duane Goldman. A number of Moses' athletes have gone on to coach in the high school and college ranks. At Cheyenne Mountain High School, Moses coached several state champions and became the Director of Athletics and Physical Education for the Cheyenne Mountain School District. Gene lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Janice.
