Darrell Vasquez is the first-ever four-time California state high school champion and the first-ever four-time Five Counties Invitational Champion.

His high school record is 201-7 and he is a two-time Dave Schultz Champion of Champions Award winner.

He is a two-time Junior Freestyle All-American and a three-time Reno Tournament of Champions All-American. He was named All-Area Athlete of the Year all four years in high school.

Darrell received the California Assembly Legislative Resolution Recognition and was also recognized by the Bakersfield City Council in acknowledgment of his scholastic and sports achievements.

He is actively involved in his church youth program and outreach, speaking to young adults about using their gifts for God. He also helps with the Bakersfield Police Activity League program. His overall high school GPA is 3.65 and he was named to the Wrestling USA 2002 Academic All-American Team.

Darrell will wrestle for California Poly State University.
