Michael Abrams
Michael Abrams is passionate about wrestling and has been coaching the sport for over 40 years.
He became Grand Valley State University's first NCAA Division I All-American and two-time NAIA national champion.
Mike won the NAIA national title at 158 pounds in 1978 and the NCAA Division II championship at 167 pounds in 1979. He went on to finish sixth in the NCAA DI tournament to become the first NCAA DI place-winner in Laker history. He placed sixth in the 1977 NAIA national tournament, giving him four All-America honors. A graduate of Pontiac Northern High School in Pontiac, Michigan, Mike's career record was 88-15.
