Hank Juran
Hank Juran is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of Wrestling.

Hank Juran began a long road of coaching by starting the wrestling program at Idaho Falls, Idaho. In 1946, after serving in the Armed Forces during World War II, he came to Salem high school, where he enjoyed great coaching success. His team tied for the state championship, but lost the trophy by flip of the coin.
Coach Juran was elected the first president of the Oregon Wrestling Coaches Association and served many years in that position. During that time he instigated the first district tournaments and the adoption of the 190 pound weight class. He also b established the site of the state tournaments at Oregon State University.
During his coaching years, Coach Durand also officiated, giving time to every area of wrestling. Hank Juran has been a stabilizing influence in the development of all his students and the sport of wrestling. He has given a lifetime of service to the youth of America through the sport of wrestling.
