For more than six decades, Earl Fuller has been a member of the Rochester Institute of Technology community and served it well. Fuller coached wrestling for 46 seasons and served as golf mentor for 15 years, including fall and spring. The Waynesburg, PA native has been an inspiration to hundreds of athletes over the past 50 years. Fuller had 201 wins in wrestling and 158 in golf. He guided the RIT linksmen to 23 winning campaigns. He is responsible for seven former wrestlers winning RIT Athlete of the Year recognition and has seen several former grapplers inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame. Fuller has produced 15 RIT Invitational, nine state and 18 ICAC champions. Additionally, six of his grapplers have won the 4-I Tournament and 17 carried off top honors in the Niagara District AAU competition. In 1953-54 he guided the grapplers to a perfect 10-0 record. He is a member of the National Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame and was president-elect to the New York State College Wrestling Coaches Association. In golf, he sent a RIT representative to 10 NCAA Championships. And his teams have responded by always finishing in the top 10. He boasted seven All-American linksmen and four undefeated campaigns.
