Terry Crenshaw

Terry Crenshaw started his wrestling career in junior high school and worked his way up to a Stanford University All American wrestler in 1967. After graduation from Stanford, he moved to Wrangell, Alaska high school where he started a new wrestling program. During his six years in Alaska he was a charter member and secretary of the Alaska Wrestling Coaches Association and was author of the Alaskan Wrestling Coaches Association Constitution. Coach Crenshaw spent the next 15 years at Wallowa high school in Oregon, coaching both wrestling and football. His 1993 football team won the OSAA state championship.

Because of Crenshaw‘s dedication to education he was named a Fulbright exchange teacher to Scotland in 1982 and received a fellowship to Germany in 1989. He received the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce teacher of the year award and the 1996 Boys and Girls Club of Wallowa County teacher of the year award. Today many of the individuals Coach Crenshaw coached and taught draw from his influence on their lives. He is has given a lifetime of service to the youth of America.
