Robert Latessa

Robert Latessa started his coaching career at Blair Academy in New Jersey. 

He led Blair to 10 straight National Prep team championships and produced 32 individual national prep champions in his 10 years as the head coach. 

Notable wrestlers that Latessa coached at Blair include Rico Chiaparelli, Pat Santoro, and Ray Mendoza. 

Latessa coached at Lehigh University from 1990-95, serving as the head coach in 1995. He was 11-2 in dual meets as a head coach while leading the team to the EIWA championship and a 17th-place finish at the NCAA Division I Championships with two All-Americans.

After Lehigh, Latessa coached at Lakota East High School in West Chester Ohio. In 12 years, he produced two Top 10 teams, three state champions, 16 state place-winners, and 35 state qualifiers. Three of his wrestlers combined for 10 All-America honors. Notable wrestlers that Latessa coached while at Lakota East include Khetag Pliev, Tony Johnson and Dan Canfield. 

Latessa was also the head coach of the Ohio Junior National Freestyle Team for many years.
