Mike Moreno

Mike Moreno was a four-time state qualifier, three-time medalist and state champion for Glenwood High School and also a two-time Iowa state freestyle champion.

He was a three-time NCAA qualifier and an All-American for Iowa State while helping the Cyclones finish in the Top Four at the NCAA tournament twice.

Mike began his coaching career as an assistant at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs before head coaching stints at Clarinda and Urbandale. In 20 years as a head coach he had a career record of 280-163-1 and coached 77 state qualifiers and 43 medalists. Mike coached eight state champions, 11 runner-up finishers and nine third-place finishers.
