Nick began his coaching career back in 1983 in Jordan, Minnesota. He moved to Arizona in 1985 and started the Ajo Red Raiders wrestling program before moving to Mesa Mountain View in 1987. Nick was named head coach at Red Mountain in 1990 and led Red Mountain to a state championship, three state runner-ups, and five East Valley Region Championships. His career record is 452-88-1. Nick has served as AZ/USA board member, National team coach, foreign exchange coach, President of Arizona Wrestling Coaches Association, and Arizona Wrestling Coaches Clinic Director for 15 years.
