Dan Langdon

Dan wrestled at Wilson High School for 4 years, then wrestled and graduated from Lycoming College in 1973. Dan has officiated for 44 years and was inducted into Berks County Wrestling HOF. He has officiated over in 40 Sectional, 32 District, 5 PIAA State Individual Championships & 1 PIAA State Team Championship. He has been Rules Interpreter & past President of the Berks County Chapter Wrestling Officials. Dan is currently the CEO of East Penn Manufacturing Company in Lyon Station, PA, and oversees the many functions and global reach of a privately-held company that operates the largest, single-site lead-acid battery facility in the world. With over 9,400 employees globally, over 85 warehouses and distribution centers across North America, East Penn has doubled in size in the last 7 years to over a $2.5 billion dollar a year enterprise - and is still growing. Since becoming the CEO in 2014 and President in 1994, Dan has upheld a long-standing, deeply enriched company culture of intrinsic quality, organization-wide integrity, innovative sustainability, industry leadership, and community outreach. Most essential is a cohesive family of coworkers who continue to strengthen the company, making it one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 16 of the last 17 years. His commitment to company values, its people, and its customers has earned him a high level of respect in the industry. Dan has played an instrumental role in the battery industry in the US & the world. He is a past President of Battery Council International & has served on the Board of Directors for years. He is also on the board of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association. Northwood University recognized him as an Outstanding Business Leader, serving as an exemplary role model for promising business students. Customers have given tributes and honors such as the Federated Auto Parts Vendor HOF Award and the NAPA Auto Parts Partnership Award. Dan in extremely active in his community: he is Chair of the Board for the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, a Board Member for Berks County United Way, High Industries, Greater Berks Development, and on the Executive board of Hawk Mountain Boy Scouts of America. He is on the Board of Trustees at Lycoming College, and was presented their Distinguished Alumni Accounting award in 1989. Dan was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Greater Reading Business HOF, the Berks County Sports HOF, and was awarded the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's Prominent CPA in Business award in 1997. He has been the Community Leader of the Year by the Arthritis Foundation, the Business Man of the Year by the Reading Berks Holy Name Society, and The Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence by the Caron Foundation. Dan and his wife, Kathy, reside in Wyomissing, PA.
