Darrell Brown
Darrell Brown has distinguished himself over the past four decades as an outstanding asset to high school wrestling in the state of Idaho.
A graduate of Highland High School, Brown went on to play football and wrestle at Idaho State University.
He began his coaching career in 1973 at Aberdeen High School and was named 5th District Coach of the Year. He became a football and wrestling coach at Bonneville High School in 1975 and at New Plymouth High School in 1981.
A valuable asset as a teacher, administrator and coach, Brown also helped young men become champions not just in wrestling but in life.
Plymouth annually hosts the RD Brown Invitational in recognition of the impact he made on the entire community.
"I've been involved in Idaho wrestling since 1975 as a wrestler, coach, and leader," said Scott Hill. "I've been honored to watch Coach Brown from so many angles, so many lenses, and always with the respect and appreciation for what he's done for so long, for so many."
