Phil Dorman

Phil Dorman was head wrestling coach at Platte County High School from 1994-2013.

He led the Pirates to seven Missouri state team titles, a runner-up finish, a third-place finish and a fourth-place finish while coaching 31 individual state champions and countless state qualifiers and place-winners.

Dorman was athletic director for Platte County High School from 2004 to 2020 and was named Kansas City Interscholastic Activities Administrator Association Athletic Director of the Year in 2019.

He was named Missouri Wrestling Association Coach of the Year six times and was inducted into the Missouri Wrestling Association’s Hall of Fame in 2020. Dorman was inducted into the Platte County High School Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2017 and into the Pleasant Hill High School Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2018.
