Jeff Jordan was a four-time Ohio state champion for St. Paris Graham High School,

He became the state’s third four-time champion, one year after his brother Jim accomplished the same feat.

Jeff had a career record of 159-1 for a .994 winning percentage, a record at the time for Ohio high school wrestlers who competed all four years.

He wrestled at the University of Wisconsin and was a two-time All-American, finishing fourth in 1987 and 1988, a Big Ten Conference champion and a Midlands Tournament champion.

After serving as an assistant coach from 1994 to 2001, Jordan became head coach at his alma mater in 2002. He helped Graham capture 19 Ohio state high school team titles, two as an assistant coach and 17 as the head coach including 18 consecutive from 2001 to 2018.

Jordan coached 86 individual state champions, 79 as head coach and seven as an assistant coach, and 105 state place-winners. Graham won 16 team state dual titles, 24 team district titles and 25 team league titles and had 173 individual district champions during his tenure.

Graham also won national team titles in 2008, 2010 and 2015 while Jordan was named National High School Coach of the Year in 2003 and Coach of the Year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association in 2005 and 2009.

Jordan was an assistant coach at Purdue University and was inducted into the Ohio High School Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1996, the Ohio Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association Hall of Fame in 2018.
