Jesse Jantzen was the first wrestler in New York high school history to win four state championships, twice being named Outstanding Wrestler, and also the first six-time place-winner, finishing third twice.

He had a career record of 221-3, including 100 falls, for Shoreham-Wading River High School in Shoreham, New York, with the three losses all happening before ninth grade.

The only six-time Suffolk County champion, Jantzen is one of only seven Long Island wrestlers to win the High School Senior National Championships, earning the Outstanding Wrestler award as well in 2000. He also won the Junior Nationals and was named ASICS National High School Wrestler of the Year and the Junior Hodge Trophy winner in 2000.

Carrying a 3.2 GPA, Jantzen was an active member of Nexus, Fitness Club and Mathletes.

He was a National Video finalist and an Excellence in English Award recipient.

Jantzen will attend Harvard University in the fall.
