Santos Cageao has officiated on the high school, collegiate and international levels for 36 years, including 25 high school championships, the Big 10 collegiate championships and a Division II NCAA Regional Championship.

On the international level he officiated at five Olympic Trials and participated in three Olympic Freestyle Final Team Selections, the 1978 Greco-Roman World Final Team Selection and the 1993 Freestyle World Final Team Selection. He also officiated four Junior World Championships and two National Junior Tournaments. In 1989 and 1991 he officiated the Pan American Championships. He holds an International FILA Level I license.

He served as Secretary for the United States Wrestling Officials Association from 1988-92. For his outstanding service as an official he was named the 1987 USA Official of the Year and was previously inducted into the Ohio Coaches and Officials Hall of Fame.
