Gordon DuPree
A football star and a two-time All-America wrestler of Oklahoma State, twice placing third in the NCAA, DuPree officiated wrestling and football and helped rewrite the wrestling rule book.
His integrity was so widely known that he officiated the often-bitter Bedlam Series between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma at both sites over a 14-year span, despite attendance at one of the rival schools.
• Chief NCAA Referee, 1963-1970
• All-American Wrestler, 1933-34
• Helped codify rules in 1950s
