Rodney Laub

Rodney Laub started wrestling at Chief Logan High School in 1956-1960 then moved on to Lycoming College (1960-64). After college, he went on to coach at Jersey Shore from 1964-1988 where his coaching record was 247-98-11. He coached one undefeated team (1970-71) and one PIAA Championship team, in 1979-80. Rod coached 23 consecutive winning seasons, producing Dan Muthler, a two-time PIAA Champion, and an NCAA Champion at the US Naval Academy. His other two State Champs were: Steve Litzelman (1980) and Wade Potter (1980). Rod has coached 33 Sectional, 43 District; 9 Regional, 30 PIAA State qualifiers. He is currently the Vice-President of the West Branch Valley Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame. Rod is a member of the PWCA Hall of Fame. Rod and his wife Linda have three children: Karen (45), Crystal (42) and Roger (39), and he continues to reside in Jersey Shore.
