Samuel Lovello

Samuel Lovello has made his mark in wrestling as a coach. He coached at Wilson (West Lawn) for three years before moving to Brandywine Heights for the past 33 years. His overall record is 477-195-4, which is the 8th best in PIAA history. Sam's teams have won the District Three Championships three times; the Berks County Title five times; the District Three Section Championship 14 times. His 2001 team won the PIAA Championship. Sam has been named District 3 Coach-of-the-Year 6 times. He has coached 37 PIAA Class AA medalists; 30 District 3 AA Champions (which is the most in District 3 history); and 8 Regional Champions. Sam is a member of the PWCA, the District Three and the Berks County Halls-of-Fame. Sam and wife Paula have two children: Joey (30) and Kristi (28).
