Don Gray
In his 24 years as a wrestling official, Don Gray refereed a wrestling tournament every weekend, and, if given a choice, he says he would work wrestling again - because he enjoyed the coaches and participants more than football. Gray officiated many of the most prestigious wrestling tournaments in Oklahoma, including Geary, Yukon, PC North, and Lawton - in addition to dual meets from Class 1A to 5A. He also refereed 21 regional tournaments and 20 state championships. During his involvement in youth league sports, Gray served as a head official and assigning coordinator. As a realtor, Gray has been honored in a variety of ways, including inclusion in the journal records book of lists for sales in real estate. For his years of service to wrestling as an official, the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame honors Don Gray with its Lifetime Service Award.
