Bobby Jefferson

The "Jefferson style of Teaching" is built around a sound core defense, dominant offensive attacks, and toughness that will outlast anyone. Since the 1979-80 wrestling season, Bobby Jefferson has successfully used that style as an educator and as the head wrestling coach at Muskogee High School. During his 30-year tenure, Jefferson has amassed a 288-79-2 dual meet record, 15 district titles, 15 dual state appearances, four final four appearances, and, in 2010, his team won the state dual championship. He has also coached 61 individual state place winners, 10 state champions, and eight All-Americans. Jefferson has been named Frontier Conference Coach of the Year twice, and in 2010, he was named the National Wrestling Coaches Association Oklahoma Coach of the Year. For his long and successful coaching career, Bobby Jefferson is honored with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling Award by the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
