Seth Reimers

A native of Ogden where he was a solid multi-sport athlete, Captain Reimers earned a B.S. degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from Northwest Missouri State University in 2004. Commissioned through the Army ROTC program, he completed The Field Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, OK, followed by the U.S. Ranger School at Fort Benning, GA. In September 2005, he joined the 10th Mountah Division's 2nd BCT at Fort Drum, NY, where he completed one National Training Center rotation and numerous field exercises in preparation for future deployments. His billet assignments included Target Acquisition Platoon Leader, Infantry Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer. In August 2006, Captain Reimers was deployed to Mahmudiyah, Iraq where he served with Task Force 2-15 as an Infantry Platoon Leader and Military Transition Team Advisor during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In April, 2007 he was seriously wounded while conducting combat operations with his platoon and Iraqi counterparts. For 13 months he engaged in healing and rehabilitation therapy at several facilities including Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, Minneapolis VA Poly6-TraumaC enter and the GL WACH Warrior Transition Unit. Among Captain Reimers' decoration for his service is the Bronze Star with the "V" Device, the Bronze Star for service, Purple Heart, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency-Silver.
