Anthony Petrillo
Anthony M. Petrillo graduated from GAR High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was an excellent athlete earning nine varsity letters four of which were in wrestling. Following high school, Tony attended Mansfield College where he served as captain of the football team and earned a BS degree. He continued his education at Rutgers University receiving a Masters Degree in 1962 majoring in physics. Tony moved to Rancocas Valley High School in 1957 to teach physics and soon began the community’s first wrestling program. He coached for twenty-two years compiling a record of 191-101-4 wrestling the most competitive schools in New Jersey. He had seventeen consecutive winning seasons during which his teams won seven Burlington County League Championships, five District titles as well as 51 individual District Champions, 6 Region Champions and 4 State Finalists. His 1970-71 team was undefeated. Tony is a devoted father, church member, and community contributor. He exemplifies what a coach and teacher should be.
