Ethan Hauke

Ethan Hauck entered coaching in 1980 as one of the youngest head coaches in the area and left his career in 2016 as one of the ‘oldest’ (most seasoned) coaches. Ethan has 36 years as a Head Coach and over 40 years committed to the sport of wrestling—that began when Ethan was a freshman at Trenton Missouri where eventually wrestled under the direction of Coach Ron Hurst. He was a varsity letterman and team captain in High School – already showing leadership skills. He wrestled in college at Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) and was a varsity letter winner and part of a winning conference championship. Due to an injury his collegiate years ended sooner than he would have liked but did not end the passion he had for wrestling. Majoring in literature with a master’s degree in Sport Science, he began his career as head wrestling coach of Moberly high school at the age of 22. He met his wife Barb at Northeast Missouri State and later had two children Lindsay and Zane (wife Kelly) and has one adorable granddaughter Emersyn.

Coach Hauck’s accomplishments and contributions associated with Missouri wrestling are lengthy.
