Mike Oldham (alan)
Mike is a Springfield Missouri native where he graduated from Central High School in 1973 and Missouri State University in 1980. Mike was an outstanding wrestler at Central where wrestling for Coach Bob Kinloch he was a team captain, district champion and state tournament qualifier with 65 career wins.
After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Okinawa and deployed with the Pacific Fleet. While serving in the navy Mike got the opportunity compete in the Western Pacific Wrestling Tournament on the Subic Bay Philippines Naval Base. After winning his weight class he earned a spot on the Pacific Fleet Freestyle Team and traveled with the team to compete internationally before completing his active service and returning to Springfield to attend Missouri State University (MSU). Mike stayed in the Navy Reserves while in college and has made it a lifelong goal to support our active-duty military and veterans.
While attending MSU, wrestling for Coach Mike McCarty he was a four-year letterman, team captain, conference champion, team MVP, multiple tournament champion with 77 NCAA career wins. He qualified for the NCAA tournaments in 1978 and 1979. After college, Mike earned his MBA from the University of Colorado and remained active in wrestling, officiating and helping coach until his business career required him to travel internationally on a consistent basis. Mike has had a distinguished business career starting as a computer software salesperson and progressing in management positions where he served as Chief Operating Officer in four international technology companies, CEO of OmniBus Systems and Founder of FrontPoint Advisors. He is still active as an Investor, Mentor, Board Director and Business Advisor.
Mike has been very active serving on boards in charitable endeavors and philanthropy for veterans, education and healthcare non-profits. He has been especially focused on supporting Missouri State University by funding the Oldham Family Veteran Student Center and the Business School’s Mike Oldham and Tim Foote Sales Lab. Most recently, Mike has started a committee to develop the strategy, and resources required to reengage former wrestlers to help bring back the MSU wrestling program which was discontinued in 1994.
Mike lives in Golden Colorado and is an active skier, cyclist and outdoorsman.
