Chris Murray

·        Native of Atlanta, GA; 1973 graduate of Sequoyah High School (Doraville, GA)

·         1993 graduate of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale, IL) - B.S. Hospital Administration

·         1995 graduate of the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) - M.S. Public Administration

·         Served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years (1977-1998) as a Hospital Corpsman/Dental Technician, retiring in 1998 as a Chief Petty Officer.  Upon retiring, worked 20 more years as civilian employee in the Navy, serving as a Command Security Manager/Anti-Terrorism Officer

·         40 years of service as an outstanding mat official, refereeing in numerous regions across the country as his Naval career duty stations required, including the Hawaii, San Diego, Orlando, Jacksonville and Atlanta areas

·         Became a wrestling official in the Atlanta area at the age of 20, shortly after graduating from high school.

·         Competed throughout high school and at the military club level while serving in the U.S. Navy

·         Highly regarded mat official called 102 state qualifying tournaments, 29 state championship tournaments and 52 nationally sponsored invitational tournaments such as the NHSCA Senior Nationals Finals, the Super 32 Invitational, the Disney Duals and Beast of the East

·         Resides in Kingsland, GA with wife, Francine; adult children Melissa Farngoli, Allison Murray
