· 2010 graduate of Piedmont College (Demorest, GA) - Ed.S. Curriculum and Instruction
· 32 years of service as a coach at the high school or middle school level
· 3 years (1992-95) - head coach at Effingham County High School (Springfield, (GA)
· 5 years (1995-2000) - assistant coach at Dublin High School (Dublin, GA)
· 2X region assistant Coach-of- the-Year; coached 2X Oklahoma Univ. All-American Whit Durden
· 5 years (2000-2005) - head coach at Dublin HS - 2X GACA Coach of the Year; GHSA AAA state
champions (2002/2004); coached 12 individual GHSA state champions and 35 state placers
· 15 years (2005-2020) - served as Gilmer/Clear Creek Middle School coach, developing wrestlers for Gilmer High School program that won 9 state championships and finished as Dual state runners-up 4X during his tenure
· 26 of Gilmer’s GHSA state champions came through Monroe’s middle school program
· 1 year (2021-22) - assistant coach at Pickens HS helping team finish as AAA state runners-up
· 3 years (2022-present) - coach for Clear Creek Middle School and Gilmer HS freestyle program
· Resides in Ellijay, GA with wife, Ginger; adult children: Kellan, Skye
