Jackie Smith

March 10, 1958 - Present

Jackie Smith is a leader in life and in the Idaho wrestling community.  As a successful business owner and leader in the home care industry, Jackie enhanced the lives and health of so many throughout the Treasure Valley.  She translated that same leadership and caring approach to her decades of involvement in Idaho wrestling, serving in multiple capacities at the local and state levels, as well as in support of regional and national events around the country.  Jackie served as the Director of the Idaho Express club, which was the largest USAW club in Idaho during her tenure, and conducted an annual Freestyle and Greco-Roman tournament that attracted the best programs and competitors from throughout the western states.  She applied her leadership in roles on the Board of Directors of WIWA and USA-Idaho and leveraged her considerable business acumen to help establish the Idaho Amateur Wrestling Foundation as a vehicle to raise and manage funds in support of Idaho wrestling.  Jackie also achieved high regard and recognition as a PA, P1 and P2 pairing official for 11 years in support of multiple state, regional, and national level tournaments.  Jackie has described herself as the consummate “Wrestling Mom”, extending the love and support she gave her own three sons who were outstanding Idaho wrestlers to countless wrestlers, coaches, and parents at the club, high school, and state levels, as well as in support of the Boise State University Bronco Wrestling Club.  Jackie continues to serve and lead as our current Idaho NWHOF Secretary/Treasurer and board member.
